Prof. Saman K. Halgamuge
Fellow of IEEE, IET, AAIA, and NASSL

Prof Saman Halgamuge, Fellow of IEEE, IET, AAIA and NASSL is a Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Melbourne. Previously, he was an external consultant to PETRONAs and was a member of the Research Advisory Council of their university UTP in Malaysia. In Australia, he was a member of the Australian Research Council grant assessment panel and also the Head of Engineering School at Australian National University. He obtained the Dipl.-Ing and Ph.D. degrees in data engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. He is listed as a top 2% most cited researcher for AI and Image Processing in the Stanford database. He is a distinguished visitor appointed by the IEEE Computer Society (2025-27) and was a distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (2018-21). His research is funded by Australian Research Council, National Health and Medical Research Council, US DoD Biomedical Research program and international industry (e.g. Bosch Germany, Google US).

Prof. Zhen Zhang
Zhengzhou University, China

Zhen Zhang, a professor at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering of Zhengzhou University, holds a doctorate and is a doctoral supervisor. In 2008, he obtained a doctoral degree from PLA Information Engineering University and was a visiting scholar at the University of Manchester in the UK under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education. He has been engaged in scientific research and teaching in areas such as multimedia information security, image processing and pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and big data for a long time. He serves as the deputy director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Collaborative Security Technology in Big Data, a council member of the Chinese Society for Image and Graphics, an expert of the Engineering Intelligent Design Branch of the China Engineering Design Association, a Ministry of Education review expert, an industrial field bid evaluation and review expert of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the vice president of the Henan Machinery Industry Standardization Technology Association. He has led the completion of several research projects, including the "Public Safety Risk Prevention and Emergency Technology Equipment" key project of the National Key Research and Development Program, "Key Technology Research on Information Resource Directory Management and Standard Testing Platform in the Transportation Industry of Henan Province", "Regional Public Security Prevention and Strike and Disposal Technology Comprehensive Application Demonstration" of the major public welfare project of Henan Province, and "Overall Plan for the Implementation of the Foundation-Building, Short-Cutting, and Catching-up Strategy to Accelerate Innovation and Development in Zhengzhou in the 14th Five-Year Plan" of the major strategic planning of Zhengzhou. He has also led the formulation of several provincial and municipal smart city construction plans and information construction plans.
